Dementia Care New Rochelle

At Glen Island Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, we recognize the special need of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other related memory impairments. The special attention, patience, understanding, and love requires a unique dynamic to the fabric of the facility. Our Alzheimer and dementia care services in New Rochelle are designed to involve residents in everyday activities in which they can enjoy and feel successful. This encourages a feeling of accomplishment and worth that can be so devastating to those aware of the limitations imposed by this disease. Our aim is to ensure our residents get as much or as little help as they require, enabling them to enjoy living comfortably.

If a loved one is suffering from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, it can take a tremendous toll on a care giver ’s physical and emotional well-being. We aim to take the burden off of you, all while providing the top-quality care you’ve come to expect from GICNR and our Dementia Care program for your loved one.

There’s no need to go it alone. At Glen Island Center, we create customized care plans that change as your loved one’s needs change. We also help your loved one cope better by using a program that stimulates his/her ability to remember and we carefully monitor everything from medication to daily activities. As experts in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, we are focused on the dignity, comfort, and independence of our patients. You can trust Glen Island Center to make your loved one’s life – and yours – much easier and more enjoyable.

Patients are admitted under several financial programs, including Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance.  A deputized Medicaid worker is on premise to provide information and/or assist in the Medicaid application process for our dementia care services.

At Glen Island Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, we understand how stressful it can be to find the perfect long-term care facility for your loved ones. Our goal is to make the transition as stress-free, and easy as possible. Our caring staff will walk you through every step of the progress and make sure you have all of your questions answered. We understand that one of the most important pieces in selecting your nursing facility is the quality of care, and how both you and the resident are treated. We aim for the highest level of both care while still respecting the rights of the individual with all of our programs including dementia care.

Our state of the art facility is designed to keep guests as comfortable as possible. We utilize the latest medical technology, and always make sure that every patient receives the care they need, and the dignity they deserve.
